Don't reach for that thesaurus
Make up another word
Tell your friends about it
Tell them that you've heard.
I've decided to enlist myself
There was no one at the gate
Anyone can do it
Lose weight and ask me how.
It's the emotional confusion
It's the non specific worry
It's tilting for position
It's forgetting to wonder why.
Five black rabbits
But one of them is brown
It's the lady of the litter
In a dressing gown.
He said let's all pull together
Like the levers of a fruit machine
And we'll laugh and dance forever
Once he's knighted by the Queen.
I wonder what it's like to be beautiful
All those eyes that stare and dart
All those anxious fingers
All those broken hearts.
